As many of you know hunting in Alaska for both sheep and moose is getting tougher and tougher. The best quality on both species is definitely coming out of the draw areas and every year more and more areas are going to a draw.

Cabela's T.A.G.S. has only had one unsuccessful Dall sheep client in 5 years and all of the successful clients have harvested rams over 35" with most being much larger. There are simply no better places left to hunt Dall sheep in Alaska than the areas we apply our T.A.G.S. clients. Our moose hunts have been an even bigger success story. We are 100% success in our 5 year history and our average is well over 60". In 2008, we had a client who reported seeing 17 different bulls in 9 days of hunting. The moose drawing areas of western Alaska are simply incredible. Both of these hunts sell for around $11,500 and are 8 to 10 days in duration. Dall sheep hunts take place in August and moose hunting occurs in September.
