This hunt takes place in the northeastern Saskatchewan boreal forest. This outfitters hunting territory consists of over 50 square miles of prime Black Bear habitat. All hunts are conducted by tree stands over baited areas and these stands are set up to work for either archery or rifle hunters. Over the past years hunters have experienced 90% - 100% shooting opportunities on mature bears ranging from 200 to over 400 lbs. This area of SK is also known to have a great population of color phase bears. Comfortable ranch house accommodations and home cooked meals are served daily.

Transportation

Fly to Regina or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, rent a vehicle and drive approx 1.5 hrs to Buchanan SK.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from home and fly to Saskatoon or Regina, Canada where you will rent a car and drive to camp near Buchanan.
Days 2-6: Black bear hunt.
Day 7:Depart camp for your trip home.

Physical Requirement Level

1 - These hunts are mostly farm or ranch hunts from stands or blinds. Includes substantial use of 4x4 pickups and/or ATV's. Most whitetail deer hunts are in this category.
