This hunt takes place in the heart of prime big-moose country and just outside of Denali National Park. Low hunters numbers, coupled with a hard-working outfitter, produce high success. In this area, moose, grizzly bear, sheep, black bear, wolf and wolverine are all available in the same season. This outfitter is an excellent choice for multiple-species combination hunts. Camps vary from sheep-style spike camps to comfortable wall tents. Recent moose hunter success rates were 86%, (6 for 7) with a 61" average, 68" was the largest. His long-term success on grizzlies is 30% when combined with a moose hunt, 100% on grizzly only hunts for the last several years on bears ranging from 7' to 8 1/2'.

Sample Itinerary (Based on a 10 day hunt)
Day 1:Fly to Anchorage, Alaska and overnight.
Day 2 Fly from Anchorage to McGrath.
Days 3-12 Hunt.
Day 13:Depart camp for McGrath where you will overnight.
Day 14:Depart McGrath and begin your return trip home.

Physical Requirement Level

3 - These hunts are a true wilderness experience and are usually conducted on horseback while hunting species such as elk, moose, bear; also, some mountain lion and African cape buffalo. Difficult to extreme hiking and backpacking can be involved.
