Trophy Mule Deer in Northeast Montana
This trophy mule deer hunt takes place on the prairies of northeast Montana toward the Canadian line. These large private ranches are home to some of the best trophy mule deer hunting in the state of Montana. A limited number of hunters are taken each year (12-14) to ensure a quality hunt and that success is kept high. This outfitter hunts two separate areas in this region and both are loaded with deer. The northern ranch is 50,000 acres and typically produces some of the biggest bucks every year. The southern property totals 60,000 acres and has some great trophy quality too. The 2012 season produced some exceptional bucks including a 197", 184", 184", 177", and several bucks 165" and bigger. These hunts take place during the November rut when bucks are most active. Transportation will be in 4x4 vehicles and then on foot. Some very large whitetail bucks have also been harvested here over the years. You'll have the choice of harvesting a mule deer or whitetail with your tag. Accommodations consist of comfortable ranch houses with all of the amenities of home. Physical Requirement Level
2 - These hunts are mostly conducted on private ranches; species include mule deer, elk, antelope; additionally, some caribou and African plains game hunts. Moderate to light hiking each day in semi-mountainous terrain.
